When I picked wildflowers recently I picked a few poppies but of course they don’t last and as expected these ones soon withered. I left them in a jug with a few of the other flowers and left them in a corner of the studio and forgot about them. A couple of days later I went down to the studio I noticed to my delight that one of the poppies had miraculously opened up . . . ‘couldn’t resist capturing it on a small panel.
